Some Stevenson students’ experiences are also impacted by learning and attention issues.
Our learning specialists impact student performance through both direct and indirect support. Work with students occurs directly through push-in and pull-out interventions. Our specialists also work with teachers to understand these unique learners and to plan for, teach, and assess students in ways that promote their success and full participation.
Stevenson also seeks to make students aware of their own strengths and challenges and prepares them to become effective advocates for themselves as they move on to higher education. Our learning specialists also provide direct skill instruction to students when needed.
